Two rival gangs were involved in a shoot-out in a busy Southall pub injuring three men - one critically.
Shots were heard in a function room at the back of the Glassy Junction pub in South Road shortly after 9.45pm on Monday.
The shooting comes just weeks after a month-long national gun amnesty to reduce gun crime.
It was reported that two groups of Asian men were involved in an argument before shots were fired.
Police believe the suspects left the scene by car. No weapons have been recovered. Officers are keeping an open mind as to the motive of the shootings.
Southall MP Piara Khabra is becoming increasingly concerned about the high frequency of gun crime in his constituency.
"I am very disappointed with the police.
"They should be doing more work on serious crimes like this instead of being diverted to cover marches and demonstrations.
"They should be finding the guns and people who use them."
A police spokesman would not comment on Mr Khabra's remarks.
He said: "We are appealing to anyone who was drinking in the Glassy Junction pub at the time or happened to be in the vicinity to contact Crimestoppers."
