Three men have been arrested after a man was found dead in Woolwich on Wednesday (Nov 19).
Police and ambulance services attended St Martin Bowes House in Calderwood Street to find the body of a man, who has been named by family members at the scene today as 28-year-old David Cooper.
It is thought Mr Cooper was unemployed and lived alone in a fourth-flat flat in the block.
Mr Cooper's uncle Keith Murphy says the family have not been given any information by police.
He said: "The police have not told us anything about what happened. We are in the dark about it.
"We have come down here to lay flowers at the scene but we are not allowed in. We do not even know where the body is."
The emergency services went to the address after two men visited Woolwich police station at around 2pm yesterday saying they had discovered the body of a friend.
A post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course and the Met Police’s Murder Investigation Team in Lewisham are investigating.
Anyone with information should call the incident room on 020 8721 4868 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
The arrested men are currently in custody.
