A man found with stab injuries to his throat in a High Wycombe driveway almost two weeks ago has been named as Nigel Lennon, 36.
Thames Valley Police had delayed releasing the name of Mr Lennon, found in Telford Way on Saturday November 15, until his mother, who lives overseas, was informed.
Mr Lennon, who police said was from High Wycombe, died from his wounds.
Police said last week they did not believe anyone else was involved. A knife was found nearby.
A statement released this morning said: “The man found in Telford Way, Downley, on Saturday 15 November has been named as Nigel Lennon, aged 36, from High Wycombe.
“The man was identified by his family on Sunday 16 November but in accordance with the wishes of the man’s family, Thames Valley Police did not previously name the man until his mother, who now resides overseas, had been informed.
“A report for HM Coroner is currently being prepared by police.
“The man’s family have asked the media to respect their privacy and allow them to grieve in peace.”
