One of the men arrested in connection with the apparent murder of a Woodford Green schoolgirl is her father, it is believed.
The apparent revelation comes after the arrest of three men last week in connection with the disappearance of 15-year-old Woodbridge High School student Tulay Goren, who vanished from her family home in January 1999.
Despite an apparent sighting two weeks later she was never seen again.
Her body has never been found.
At a hearing at Redbridge Magistrates Court, Mehmet Goren, 48, of Navestock Crescent in Woodford Green, appeared on Thursday charged with murder and conspiracy to murder.
Two other men, Cuma Goren, 41, of Evesham Avenue in Walthamstow, and Ali Goren, 55, of Brettenham Road in Walthamstow, are both charged with conspiracy to murder.
The men will now be tried on March 5 next year at Snaresbrook Crown Court.
Anyone with information should call Ilford police station on 8478 1123.
