A 16-year-old student from Orpington College was stabbed in Orpington High Street yesterday (December 2).
The incident happened at 1.30pm outside Dorothy Perkins.
The boy was taken to the Princess Royal University Hospital.
His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Officers, currently investigating at the scene, have recovered a knife they believe was used in the assault and dropped nearby.
Police say they are looking for three black youths aged about 18 years.
The first youth was wearing a black jacket with red horizontal lines and a beige hood.
A second youth was also wearing a black jacket with a small white motif on the left hand side and a black hood.
He was also wearing light blue jeans and had his arm in a sling.
The third youth was wearing a black jacket and black trousers.
A spokesman for Orpington College said: “Although this incident took place outside college premises, we are obviously concerned.
“Safety of students and staff is of paramount importance.
“This incident was dealt with quickly, and effectively.
“A full police investigation has already begun.
“We are in constant contact with the police, in order to fully cooperate with their inquiry.”
