A raical Muslim cleric with alleged ties to Osama Bin Laden who has been living in Acton has been sent back to jail.

Abu Qatada has been holed up in a large house in the town since he was released from prison in June, but was re-arrested last month after immigration officers feared he would leave the country.

Jacqui Smith, Home Secretary, said she had reassessed the risk of Mr Qatada fleeing and took away his bail on Tuesday.

Mr Qatada, 47, has been described in the past as Osama Bin Laden's right-hand man in Europe, but was bailed in June on a multitude of conditions, including spending 22-hours a day in his Acton home.

He was also banned from using the Internet and meeting up with a long list of people, including Bin Laden.
