Police say they are still unable to say how 11-year-old James Taylor died at his home in New Ash Green.
A post mortem examination has been carried out, but further tests must be done before the cause of death can be confirmed say police.
James’ father, who is not a UK resident, and is reported to be from Egypt, has been advised of the death.
A woman who was arrested at the house in Knights Croft, remains in hospital in a stable condition.
Police found James’ body at the house where he lived with his mother Jenny, just before 5.30am on Tuesday (December 2).
The pupil of Willmington Grammar School for Boys had, until recently been a attended a private primary school, Steephill in Fawkham.
Caroline Birtwell, headmistress of Steephill School, said: “The whole school is completely shocked by the sad news.
“James was with us from the age of five until he left us last year.
“He was a popular, bright boy who enjoyed school and his friends and had a fabulous sense of humour. We will all miss him.”
