Mums to be are being offered a glossy video to entice them into giving birth at Kingston Hospital.
The hospital splashed out on the promotional film to reassure potential parents about the quality of the wards.
Earlier year the maternity unit was rated one of the "least well performing" in London by the independent Healthcare Commission.
Lynn Smith, head of midwifery, said: "We wanted the video to provide a good insight into how the unit works, as well as giving a sense of it’s warm, caring atmosphere."
Producer Alison Trott, who gave birth at Kingston by emergency caesarean, said: “It was great fun to make and our main aim was to give a true impression of the unit and I believe we have done just that."
Charity Born too Soon contributed £2,500 towards the costs of producing the video.
