London restaurants have given 10 classic British dishes an Indian twist to celebrate National Curry Week.
Favourites such as Yorkshire Pudding and Cumberland sausage have been 'currified' for the event.
Running from November 21-25, National Curry Week is being celebrated across the capital with discounts and special menus being served up at dozens of Indian restaurants.
Delicacies such as Yorkshire Chilli Pepper pudding, Devonshire cream chai, the Cornish Samosa, Cumberland Kofta and the Bombay Bakewell Tart have been dreamt up by celebrity chef, Pat Chapman, founder of the Curry Club and Britain’s foremost expert on curry and spicy foods.
London restaurants offering the spicy makeovers include:
- Tulsi, Ealing Road, Wembley
- Shanaz, Tooting High Street, SW17
- Bay of Benghal, Greek Street, W1
- Nowab, Colney Hatch Lane, Muswell Hill, N10
- Verandah, Narrow Street, E14
- Red Chilli, Leman Street, E1
- Indian Zing, King Street, W6
