A TEENAGER has been shot dead in the midst of terrified clubbers at one of London's most fashionable night spots.
Sharif Zaiden, 18, took three bullets to the chest in the shooting at the Egg club in York Way, King's Cross.
About 200 clubbers scattered from the club's first year anniversary party when gun shots were fired just before 3am on Saturday. No-one else was injured.
Police said a light-skinned black man, 6ft tall, in his 20s and dressed in jeans with a white t-shirt, ran out of the club after the shooting.
"Sharif was with friends on a night out and at present we are still unable to say why someone would want to murder him," said the investigating officer, Detective Chief Inspector Dave Brown.
Mr Zaiden, of Ladbroke Grove in west London, died shortly after being rushed to hospital. His mother, father and three brothers have been notified.
"We still need to hear from people who were in the club that evening and witnessed Sharif's murder, as well as events leading up to and after it," Mr Brown said. "Some of those will hold vital information."
