Wilt stars Griff Rhys Jones and Mel Smith, who are supported by award-winning comedy actress Alison Steadman.
Regularly overlooked for promotion on the grounds that his college lacks cash and he personally lacks drive, teacher Henry Wilt (Rhys Jones) spends his evenings walking his dog and fantasising about murdering his domineering wife, Eva.
While incredibly drunk at a friend's party Wilt finds himself firmly locked in a passionate embrace with a life-size inflatable doll. At the end of the evening he dumps the doll in a convenient hole on a building site at the college.
When, next morning, it is discovered that Eva has gone missing, Wilt's activities naturally attract the suspicion of Inspector Russell Flint of Norwich CID (Smith).
