THE Piccadilly Line service to Heathrow terminals 1, 2 and 3 will be suspended on Tuesday and Wednesday next week (August 29 and 30) for essential signalling work.
The work is part the preparation for the opening of the new Tube loop to terminal 4.
Passengers will be able to use a rail replacement bus service from Hatton Cross to the Central Bus Station.
The service will operate every few minutes, collecting passengers from stop F in Hatton Road South, dropping off at stop X on the Hatton Cross forecourt.
At the Central Bus Station, it will drop off and pick up from stops 4 and 5.
Extra buses will also run on the 285 and 111 routes.
The replacement bus service to terminal 4, which has been operating since the Piccadilly Line loop closed last year, will continue with an additional bus in service.
The loop has been closed to enable the rail extensions from terminal 5 to be connected into the existing underground network.
London Underground said that to carry out this work safely, it was necessary to close the loop and build a junction box in which the new and old tunnels were linked.
This work is set to be completed on schedule in mid-September to enable the Piccadilly Line service to once again run directly to terminal 4.
