A man is facing jail after he raped a prostitute at a brothel in Croydon.
Shane Allardice, 23, of Queen's Road, Croydon, was convicted of rape and attempted robbery at Croydon Crown Court last Thursday.
The court heard he and an accomplice, Ahmed Jessey, 18, of St Saviour's Road, Croydon, broke into the brothel on May 1 this year.
CCTV cameras at the house showed the men forcing their way inside with the help of a baseball bat and then attempting to break down an internal door.
The jury heard that Allardice raped the victim.
Alladice denied charges of rape and attempted robbery. Jessey admitted attempted robbery.
Both men will be sentenced on September 15.
