IF you've been unable to get yourself tickets for Leeds and Reading Festival don't despair, as Get Loaded in the Park touches down on the grassy plains of Clapham Common on Sunday.
With a stellar line-up including the likes of Babyshambles, De La Soul, The Young Knives, Erol Alkan, the Scratch Perverts, James Lavelle and many more, the award-winning festival - part of the Metro Weekender - is set to be one of the must-see events of the summer.
It has established itself as London's definitive indie-dance crossover party. Last year's sell-out show saw 20,000 smiley faces bouncing around in the sunshine, but with the capacity doubled this time round even more musical mayhem is expected.
Playing their only UK date this summer, on/off law-breaker and lovesick troubadour Pete Doherty (with supermodel in tow) will headline the festival with band Babyshambles and is expected to debut a number of never-before-heard songs.
Celebrating 30 years of punk, special guests The Buzzcocks will play with support from ex-Blur guitarist and solo hero Graham Coxon and punkettes The Slits.
The afternoon's entertainment will be brought to life by pioneering US hip-hop hippies, De La Soul, the World's No.1 beatboxer Killa Kela and Myspace sensation Lily Allen Following the success of last year's dance tent - hosted by Fatboy Slim and his Southern Fried Records crew - this summer's DJ baton has been passed to Bugged Out! - with the electro prince Tiga, French visionary Vitalic and the king of Trash, Erol Alkan all spinning the wheels of steel.
Electro-rock gods Digitalism, dubbed the new "Daft Punk", will be performing live, with more DJ support from acid house dude Justin Robertson and X-FM's John Kennedy returns as official host of The Midday Ramble Vs Stylish Riots Arena, which features some of the best new bands of 2006: British Sea Power, Guillemots, Kid Harpoon, The Pipettes and Hot Club De Paris all play, as well as very special headline guest Badly Drawn Boy.
If that is not enough there will be a comedy tent for those needing a laugh.
