80s singer Adam Ant announced a comeback tour today with a summer gig at the Indigo 02.
Ant, who scored ten UK top ten hits between 1980 and 1983, including three No.1 singles, is hitting the road for the first time in 15 years with new band ‘The Good, The Mad and The Lovely Posse‘.
Famous for hits including ‘Prince Charming’, ‘Antmusic’, ‘Stand and Deliver’ and ‘Goody Two Shoes’, the singer went off the rails in 2002 after throwing a car alternator through a pub window and then threatening patrons with an imitation firearm.
Born in Marylebone in 1954, Ant rose to fame during the new wave/post punk era and was once voted sexiest man in America by the viewers of MTV.
