THE woman whose body was dumped and then set on fire in woodland near Wooburn Common in July has been identified by police.
Officers believe she was Beata Bryl, 23, a Polish woman who had been living in north east London. Although further DNA tests are needed, officers are confident it is her.
They are currently in contact with Beata's mother, who still lives in Poland.
Detectives are also trying to find a bag which they believe belonged to Beata.
She was seen on CCTV in Leytonstone tube station, east London, around 11.30pm on Friday, July 28. This was the night before the body was found and also the last time detectives believe she was seen alive.
Detective Inspector Colin Seaton said: "We still don't know where Beata had been living for the last six weeks of her life.
"We believe it to be in the London area, but would like to hear from anyone who can help with this vital piece of information.
"The stills of the woman we believe to be Beata, that night, show her carrying a light-coloured rucksack style bag, which we have yet to find.
"Someone has called a friend of Beata's to say they had a bag they thought belonged to her, but it has not yet been handed over to police. We are anxious to speak to this person, purely as a witness, as they may have vital information which could assist our investigation.
"We currently have no further details of the whereabouts of the bag, which is clearly visible on the stills, and believe it could contain personal items belonging to Beata."
The body was found on Saturday, July 29, by a man walking his dog. A major operation was launched by police around the location in Hedsor Lane.
Anyone with information on the case should call Aylesbury police on 08458 505 505 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
A third man has been arrested in connection with the investigation. The man, 38, from Gravesend, Kent, was arrested on Thursday (25/08), and has been released on police bail until October.
Two further people have been arrested this morning (29/08) on suspicion of murder. A 26-year-old man, and a 27-year-old man are currently assisting police with their inquiries.
