A 22-YEAR-OLD man from Walthamstow has become the thirteenth person to be charged over the alleged plot to blow up transatlantic jetliners.
Nabeel Hussain was charged by police this afternoon with conspiring to murder and preparing acts of terrorism.
He will appear at City of Westminster Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning.
In total, four of the 24 people initially arrested have been freed with no further action.
Thirteen have now been charged - including nine men with conspiracy to murder and preparing acts of terrorism.
Seven suspects remain in custody at high security Paddington Green station in London and can be questioned until Thursday.
A young mother and a teenager arrested over the alleged plot were this morning remanded in custody after appearing in court.
The 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared in court charged with possessing articles useful to a person preparing acts of terrorism.
He is accused of possessing a book on improvised bombs, suicide notes, wills of those prepared to commit acts of terror and a map of Afghanistan.
His lawyer had an application for bail refused and indicated he would plead not guilty.
The teen was arrested by anti-terror police investigating the alleged plane bomb plot, but the charge against him does not relate to the alleged conspiracy.
Cossar Ali, a mother of an eight-month-old baby, was also remanded in custody after her second court appearance.
The 23-year-old is accused of failing to disclose information and was remanded until September 5, when her solicitor is expected to make an application for bail.
A third suspect, Mehran Hussain, 23, who is also charged with failing to disclose information, was remanded in custody until September 19.
