A WOMAN has alleged that she was raped after accepting a lift from two men when she left a London club.
The 27-year-old woman has told police that instead of being taken home she was driven to Epping Forest where she was raped by both men who then left her stranded and drove off.
The alleged attack took place in the Fairmead Road area of High Beech at about 4.30am on Sunday, August 27 after she had left a club in Old Kent Road, London, alone having spent the evening with friends.
The woman immediately rang police on her mobile phone but she was unsure of where she was and it was some time before she came across Epping New Road where she was found by police.
She has told detectives that her attackers were two men of Chinese appearance who were in a small green car with grey seats.
Police cordoned off the area on Sunday as their investigations continued.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the Fairmead Road area between 4am and 5am on Sunday, or who has any other information, should ring police on 01279 641212.
