POLICE have renewed their appeals for witnesses following an explosion which wiped out a row of garages.
Thirty residents were evacuated from their homes in Elsinore Road, Forest Hill, following the blast at 12.30am on August 18.
Such was the force of the explosion, three garages and a Mercedes Benz car were destroyed and nearby homes damaged.
Police have confirmed the cause of the blast was some type of accelerant such as petrol being poured into the garage.
This was then ignited by a naked flame.
No arrests have been made but officers are continuing their inquiries.
