A BUILDER was so angry after getting a parking ticket that he allegedly tried to run over the traffic warden, police have said.
Kosovan Kujtim Bajraktari, 22, from Leytonstone, allegedly mounted the pavement and tried to hit the warden after he was given a ticket in Kings Avenue, Ealing, on Thursday, August 31.
The 47-year-old warden claimed he was confronted by the driver, who tried to remove his own tax disk and obscure the van's number plate to avoid being fined.
Police said he then got into the car and drove at the warden who had to jump into a nearby garden.
Bajraktari, who was doing some building work in a nearby house, sped off after the incident.
Police were called and the Kosovan was arrested when officers noticed the van had returned to Kings Avenue.
He was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and appeared at Ealing Magistrate's Court on Friday, September 1. He will appear at Isleworth Crown Court on December 11.
