A 20-year-old cyclist only realised he had been shot when he felt a sharp pain in his leg.
The man was cycling through the Myatts Field Estate in Brixton, south London, at around 11.30pm on Friday night when he noticed blood on his left knee.
He kept pedalling straight to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
The cyclist, who lives in Brixton, was described as black, dressed in a blue and white hooded top with long sleeves and jeans.
Man shot at barber's

The victim heard a gunshot as he walked away from Klass barber's in Madron Street at around 7.20pm last Thursday.
When he turned around, two men with handguns opened fire on him. He ran around the corner into Old Kent Road, where he collapsed on the other side of the dual carriage way.
The gunmen, described as black and wearing black and brown hooded tops respectively, fled in the opposite direction down Madron Street.
