A WOMAN was last night murdered at the exclusive Harrow School where her father teaches.

Lucy Braham, 25, was found stabbed to death in her father's home within the school grounds, while a man suffering stab wounds was taken to hospital and later arrested over her murder.

Her father, Jason, is the director of arts at the prestigious school, north west of London, which has educated royals and seven British Prime Ministers.

It's understood he was out at the time of the murder.

It's understood Ms Braham lived in the home with her parents, which is about 200m from the entrance to the entrance of the school of 800 pupils where fees are £24,825 a year.

Police said they were called at about 10.25pm to the property, 39 Peterborough Road, in Harrow-on-the-Hill, to reports of an injured man.

Officers arrived to find a man suffering stab wounds and then discovered Ms Braham's body.

The injured man, aged in his mid-20s, was taken to an unnamed west London hospital where he is in a critical condition suffering from what the Press Association reported was self-inflicted stab wounds.

He was later arrested in connection with the murder and Scotland Yard confirmed they were not looking for anyone else.

A post mortem is being held at Northwick Park hospital today. Peterborough Road is currently closed.

A Harrow School spokeswoman said: "There was a serious incident in a property owned by the school last night. No pupils from the school were involved."

Police have swarmed the exclusive school which has educated seven former Prime Ministers, including Winston Churchill.

Other well known past students includes the first Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and King Hussein of Jordan.

A woman who owns a shop on the Hill said: "I got to the shop at 8am and I saw the forensic team.

"They had the area cordoned off. I thought something might have happened to one of the boys.

"It's absolutely awful."

Harrow-on-the-Hill councillor Mark Versallion said: "Any murder, anywhere is particularly upsetting but particularly when it is in a place like Harrow-on-the-Hill where you would not expect something like this to happen."
