A WOMAN was stabbed to death and a man died in front of a train in two incidents being linked by police.
The woman, a 32-year-old, was stabbed at the Old Actonian Sports Ground in Gunnersbury Drive. Shortly afterwards, a 37-year-old man died in front of a train at Hanwell train station.
Police were called at 4.50pm yesterday (Thursday) to reports of the woman being stabbed. She was taken to hospital but died at 5.40pm.
At 5.10pm, police were called to Hanwell railway station where a 37-year-old man had died as a result of a collision with a train.
A police spokesman said: "We can confirm we are linking the two incidents which we believe are domestic.
"The police are not searching for anyone else at this time in connection with this enquiry."
Police say next of kin have been informed but no formal identification has yet taken place.
