Tributes have been paid to a "charming" 11-year-old boy killed in a tragic road accident in Feltham.
Shane Lynch was travelling home with his 15-year-old cousin when he was hit by a silver Toyota Celica car in Staines Road.
The pair had just got off a 116 bus near the junction of Clive Road at about 10.30pm on September 3, and were attempting to cross the road when the accident happened.
Shane was rushed to West Middlesex hospital, but died later that night.
This week, flowers were laid by family and friends near the scene of the fatal accident.
Shane's teachers said the youngster would be "deeply missed".
John Norton, headteacher of Southville Junior School in Feltham, said: "The school community has been deeply saddened to hear the news of Shane's death. We will always remember this keen sports player - full of character, charm and boundless energy - he will be deeply missed.
"Our thoughts and best wishes are with his family and his friends at this difficult time."
Avril Dalglish, headteacher of Feltham's Longford Community School, where Shane had been due to start the new academic year, said: "Our thoughts are very much with Shane's family and friends at this very difficult time. It is a tragedy when a young life is lost."
A special assembly has been held at the school to remember Shane and counselling and support will be offered to any children affected by the death of the young footballer.
Hounslow police are still asking for anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward. They are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who was on the 116 bus which Shane and his cousin had been travelling on.
The driver of the Toyota Celica stopped at the scene of the incident and has since been interviewed by police.
