Around 150 tourists and visitors were evacuated from the London Dungeon this afternoon after a chemical alert.
London Fire Brigade were sent to the Tooley Street attraction shortly after 4pm.
As visitors were led away from the building a fire cordon was set up and buses were unable to stop westbound.
The attraction re-opened as normal at 4.15pm.
A spokesperson said on Twitter: "London Dungeon briefly closed today as a precautionary measure.
"No danger to staff or guests at anytime. Re-opened at 16.15.
"Open tomorrow as normal."
The scare was resolved after it was discovered that hydrochloric acid had been poured into the drainage system.
