Tricky maths questions tested young minds as part of a national numeracy challenge.
Sixth-formers and college students from around south east London converged at Ravens Wood School in Oakley Road, Bromley, on November 14 and attempted to solve a series of number-based puzzles and questions.
The quiz saw 100 teenagers from 20 different colleges and sixth forms compete over three rounds as part of the Senior Maths Challenge competition.
The winner of the event was Catford’s St Dunstan’s College, while the team of four pupils from Ravens Wood finished in 16th place.
Head of maths at Ravens Wood Pauline Bailey said: “We have a national shortage of pupils doing further maths and events like these are vital to promote learning and show maths can be fun.
“Although we didn’t do too well ourselves it was fantastic to welcome some many people to our school.”
