THE students of Wanstead and Woodford lived up to the reputations of their predecessors with glittering results in this year's A Level exams.
Many schools in the area, and across the borough as a whole, achieved even higher results than in previous years.
Speaking immediately after the publication of the results last Thursday, Cllr Michael Stark, Cabinet member for children's services, said: "Today we celebrate the achievement of Redbridge students in the A Level examinations.
These are excellent levels of achievement for Redbridge schools, and headteachers and staff of all schools should be thanked for their hard work with the students to deliver such outstanding results.
"Students should be congratulated on the effort and determination that they have displayed in achieving such high standards in their A levels."
