CHILDREN going back to school in the wake of the anti-terror raids will be given an assembly to stop playground taunts.
The idea was discussed at a community meeting at the Totteridge Social Club held to air people's concerns about the terrorism investigation. Bill Moore, an education worker at Bucks Country Council, said teachers have already been briefed about what to expect when the new school term starts.
He said: "We are concerned that there are going to be hotspots. We need to make sure schools handle this sensitively. We are also aware that children accept their parents' views.
"I have a feeling that a number of people will be saying words like Jihad because they have heard it so much in the media.
"Jihad is about internal struggle. That is something that is common to all humanity."
He added: "School officers have been very busy talking with schools before the new term."
