The most anticipated Marvel movie of the year, is finally here! Fans have been waiting, speculating and conspiring about this movie ever since it was announced. Spider Man No Way Home. I was beyond excited about this movie and just like every other fan around the world, I was completely blown away.

Spider Man has been a legacy that has graced the silver screen for decades and this film brought everything and every movie, together. The official full trailer was only released on November 17th, a month before it hit cinemas, yet the movie was set to be huge ever since the post credit scene of Spider Man Far From Home. It teased the exposure of Spider Man’s identity, leaving him an enemy of the world thanks to Mysterio.

Theories began swirling the internet back in 2019, way before any of us could have predicted the way the world would’ve changed. Like many movies that were set to be released this year, it was pushed back from July to November due to COVID. However, after all this waiting, it is finally here!

The movie begins as Peter Parker’s identity has been revealed, he’s just got a girlfriend and he’s applying to college…his life is completely up in the air. He’s also just lost the support of his mentor Iron Man, as the remaining Avengers are reeling from the effects of Endgame. The movie begins seconds after the last one, slotting nicely into the Marvel Phase 4 timeline. He watches as Mysterio and the Daily Bugule, expose his greatest secret…himself.

Spider Man No Way Home was surrounded by hype, and has been compared to the excitement Marvel fans felt when Avengers Endgame was released. The movie crosses barriers and even universes, like no movie has ever done before. The Multiverse has been mentioned ever since Dr Strange was introduced, but this movie was the first to really open up the future possibilities. Spider-Man was always a family favourite and has reached so many generations which was a huge selling point for this movie. The trailer showed all of the previous villains, coming back and battling it out with Holland alongside his pals MJ (Zendaya) and Ned (Jacob Batalon).

This movie allows Tom Holland to explore more of his Spider-Man as the story becomes more emotional with darker scenes, leaving no dry eye in the cinema. It is also full of beautiful cinematography and blockbuster-sized sets and stunts. The movie is massive, in some cases leaving a few characters undeserved. With a huge A-List cast including Willem Dafoe, Jamie Foxx, Alfred Molina and Benedict Cumberbatch, some characters are going to lose out. In this case it seems to be Cumberbatch, much of the movie he is absent. However, the next Dr Strange movie is set up perfectly regardless of his screen time in No Way Home.

It is a refreshing movie full of fun, friends and second chances. Like many superhero movies, No Way Home has a clear undertone of forgiveness and understanding. It is a perfect combination of every Spider-Man film, even with the new technology and ageing actors. Being in the cinemas again, enjoying this huge film alongside other marvel super fans was really worth the wait.

Spider-Man No Way Home was an incredible watch and is up there with Endgame as my favourite Marvel movies. Keeping this review spoiler free, but I promise you will not be disappointed!
