The Future of Manchester United
Manchester United have confirmed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has left his role as manager for the club. They are thankful for everything he did.
Out of the 12 games played by Manchester United, they have won 5, drawn 2 and lost 5 - currently putting them at 8th position within the Premier League Table on 17 points. They have lost 5 out of their last 7 games in the Premier League under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, having faced developed teams such as Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Leicester and their rivals, Manchester City.
Gunnar Solskjaer was appointed as the provisional manager in December 2018, before being offered a 3-year contract with the club as official manager in March 2019. Solskjaer had a total of 168 games as manager of the club, winning 91, losing 40 and drawing 37 - a total win percentage of 54.2%.
After a 4-1 defeat to Watford, speculation followed that he had parted ways with the club. This was then confirmed by the Manchester United board later on.
United's Youtube channel (5.25 million subscribers) uploaded a "Farewell Ole" video on 21/11/21. Gunnar Solskjaer thanked the Manchester board and the owners for the opportunity he received almost 3 years ago. Solskjaer hopes that he left the club in a better place than when he started. He is proud of what he has done and wants the next manager who comes in to be successful, as he hopes he has set down a foundation for them to work on. Ole has the utmost respect for the provisional manager Michael Carrick, who shall take over of United. He wants the players to trust themselves.
Gunnar Solskjaer wishes the players all the best and shall stay supporting Manchester.
