Barnet will begin their 2024/25 National League campaign with a long trip to Halifax Town on Saturday August 10 after fixtures for the new season were released on Wednesday.
Dean Brennan’s side will travel to The Shay on the opening weekend before making the trip to Danny Searle’s Ebbsfleet United the following Saturday (August 17).
The Bees’ first home league fixture of the campaign will see Forest Green Rovers face off against Brennan’s men at The Hive on August 20.
And the fans will have another opportunity to see their new signings in action just four days later when Barnet welcome Southend United to north London.
A local derby against Matt Taylor’s Wealdstone will take place at Grosvenor Vale on Saturday September 21, with the return fixture in the diary for April 12.
The Christmas period will see Barnet host three consecutive National League home games, as Ebbsfleet travel to The Hive on Saturday December 14, quickly followed by Halifax Town the following Saturday and Sutton United on Boxing Day.
A trip down south to Eastleigh on New Year's Day completes the Bees’ festive schedule, while the final game of the season will take place at Mill Farm as Brennan’s side take on AFC Fylde on Monday May 5.
Barnet made a successful start to their pre-season campaign on Monday night as a line-up full of new faces overcame Hitchin Town 3-1 at Top Field.
Antony Hartigan’s free-kick put the Bees into the lead before summer signings Finley Wilkinson and Rhys Brown rounded off an emphatic victory before the break.
Brennan then made 11 changes to the side that started the match, giving minutes to key members of the squad such as last season’s top scorer Nicke Kabamba, Callum Stead and Zak Brunt.
The second half conjured few chances with the best of a few falling to Brunt, whose shot was ultimately blocked by a Hitchin defender after excellent work by Stead.
Kabamba also forced an opportunity himself in the late stages but couldn’t make contact with the ball as it was fired across the face of the Hitchin goal.
A convincing and comfortable victory will give Brennan and his squad some much needed confidence going into the new season, with MK Dons coming up next on Friday (7.45pm) followed by trips to Chesham United (July 16) and Hemel Hempstead (July 20).
