Crystal Palace are considering moves for Chelsea duo Trevoh Chalobah and Carney Chukwuemeka. 

Chalobah has been axed from Chelsea’s first-team training facilities after being informed he was surplus to requirements at the West London club. Crystal Palace have been monitoring the 25-year-old for over a year and considered making a bid for the Englishman in January. 

With Newcastle ramping up their interest in Marc Guehi, Chalobah alongside Wolfsburg’s Maxence Lacroix top Palace’s list of replacements for the centre-back. 

Chelsea value Chalobah at around £25 million, but it is likely that a compromise could be struck. 

Negotiations between Palace and Chelsea could be busy heading into the final 18 days of the summer transfer window, with the South London club contemplating a move for Carney Chukwuemeka.

However, the Eagles could face tough negotiations for the former Aston Villa midfielder, who has a reported £40 million release clause in his contract. 

Chukwuemeka - who has represented England from U17s-20s - amassed just 254 minutes of football last season, suffering from a horrific run of injuries. 

Sporting Director Dougie Freedman is keen on a move for the 20-year-old, but to strike a deal with tough negotiators Chelsea, Palace would have to break their record transfer fee.
