Crystal Palace will once again be without Trevoh Chalobah when Manchester United travel to Selhurst Park on Saturday night.
Chalobah, who signed from Chelsea on Deadline Day, picked up an injury during his first Copers Cope training session and has not recovered in time to face the Red Devils.
Eagles boss Oliver Glasner, did, however, suggest the 25-year-old will be back training with the squad ahead of their trip to Goodison Park next Saturday.
"He’s progressing, but he’s not available tomorrow. We expect him back with the team next week," Glasner said.
Last week, Glasner offered a damming prognosis on Matheus Franca, suggesting the attacker would be sidelined for "weeks".
However, previewing tomorrow's fixture against Erik ten Hag's Reds, Glasner revealed that Franca has returned to training and is nearing a return.
"His recovery has gone quicker than expected. He did training yesterday and today with the team. It’s still a little bit too early [for him to play]; he will train next week, but he’s coming back."
Cheick Doucoure will face another spell on the sidelines with the midfielder expected to be out for multiple weeks.
In Saturday's 2-2 draw with Leicester, Doucoure made his first start after sustaining an Achilles injury in November. Albeit his return lasted just 45 minutes, being pulled off through injury at half time.
Detailing the Malian's condition, Glasner confirmed the midfielder suffered a toe injury: "Cheick Doucouré. He has some [injury] to do with the tendon on the toe. We will miss him for several weeks. The tendon has to heal, so it’s a little bit of a bad situation for him, but he will be back in a few weeks.
“Of course, he [Doucouré] was sad, but he had a lot of pain during the [Leicester] game and after the game, and now we, and him as well, are pleased that it’s not so serious because it was so painful that there was a worry it was a serious injury.
“It’s not – it’s several weeks. He was out for eight months, so several weeks is a short period. He’s already working for his comeback.”
Adam Wharton, who was rested for Tuesday's cup tie against QPR, is available for tomorrow's Saturday Night Football.
Wharton, who had a shortened off-season after being included in Gareth Southgate's England squad, has been struggling with his fitness since returning from his three-week summer break.
“We have to manage him," Glasner reiterated. "He’s not pain-free and some days are better, some days are worse, so he needed the rest [in midweek]. He had the entire game against Leicester and [playing] three days later just made no sense.
“He needs this time to rest, but now he’s fit.”
