Oliver Glasner has made it known that Caleb Kporha will receive more minutes this season after making his debut in the final moments of Crystal Palace's 2-0 defeat to Fulham.

Kpohra, 18, made just one appearance for the Under-18s last season due to injury struggles but stepped up to the first team this summer during their pre-season tour of the United States.

After returning from the States, Kporha continued to train with the first team while making five appearances for the Under-21s, recording a goal and three assists.

Kporha has become a permanent fixture on the Palace bench over the past two months, providing cover at wing-back, with Glasner heaping praise upon the youngster.

“He’s doing really well in every training session," Glasner confessed.

“I don’t know when he was first with us, but they told me: ‘We have this great wing-back in our academy.’

"I said: ‘Bring him - I want to see him.’

“But he had been injured for so long and had a tough hamstring injury last year.

“He’s a great guy that I like.

"He showed [against Fulham] when we were 2-0 down and a player down, but he was still doing his thing.

“He had a cross going forward and a cross with the outside of his right foot.

“This is what I like. He’s always positive and a very good talent.

“He’s really very stable in his fitness. He will definitely get several more minutes this season.
