Fulham are teetering on the edge of relegation and are very much in the battle to survive the being relegated from the Premier League into the Championship.

Fulham’s match last week  against Arsenal ended in a 1-1 draw after Arsenals Nketiah scored in the 90-7th minute of the game. This meant that Fulham only managed to get one point from this game instead of three. Fulham have failed to win in their last five matches. This places Fulham 7 points under Brighton who are 17th on the table, just safe of the relegation zone. Fulham have only five games remaining.

Fulham also lost out on points against Wolverhampton Wanderers after Adama Traore scored in the last minute to finish the game as a 1-0 victory for Wolves. Fulham also missed out on points against Aston Villa during the match in which they conceded 3 goals in nine minutes to end up losing the game3-1. If Fulham had managed to win this game, they would have been ahead of Newcastle on goal difference.

Fulham play Chelsea on Saturday the 1st of May. Chelsea will be looking to cement their position in the top four of the table, while Fulham will be looking for the three points that they desperately need to survive the relegation battle. Chelsea are going into this fixture with winning three out of their last five matches and only loosing one of them, while Fulham haven’t won a game in their last five matches.

Fulham’s last five games are against Chelsea on the 1st of May, Burnley on the 10th of May, Southampton on the 12th  of May, Manchester United on the 15th of May and finally against Newcastle on the 23rd of May. Hopefully Fulham will managed to scrape enough points to escape the clutches of relegation and manage to play another season in the Premier League. We can only see if they will manage to stay up and prove to their supporters that they deserve to stay in the Premier League.
