Star Tours-05 Days Panoromic Europe, by Pragathi Lakshmi Murthy, Newstead Wood Grammar School for Girls.

Over the last term holidays, me and my family explored 4 different countries over the course of 5 days; this was only possible because of Star Tours. Star Tours are a travel agency that I would highly recommend as there was a high level of standard throughout the journey and released the big bag of travel tension from your backs as you could sit back and just enjoy the holiday. Our specific trip was for 5 days and gave us a quick glimpse of Belgium, Switzerland, Germany and France, starting from England and was enjoyable for the whole family.

The first day mainly consisted of driving on our coach and crossing with the shuttle until we finally arrived in France. As we approached Belgium, we took a quick stop for our quick picnic lunch that awaited us. Our first stop to explore was at ‘The grand Place’, which is the central square of Brussels and looked absolutely stunning. Usually for our stops, we were given a strict time limit, to get back to the coach by, so that we could stick to their tight timetable, and see what else was planned. We then finished our presence in Belgium at our photo stop of the ‘Atomium’ - a famous giant stainless-steel atom. We then made our way to the hotels, which again were already booked and prepared beforehand, stressing how hassle free the process was with Star Tours, even meals were provided on time and taken into account any dietary requirements.

The next day covered the Black forest, Lake Titisee, Rhine Falls and Lucerne in Switzerland. We had stops at each of these places to explore the area and buy souvenirs if wanted. On Day 3, we were supposed ascend 10, 000 ft to the top of Mt. Titlis and then take the Rotair from which you can acquire a 360 degree view of the Uri Alps and then take the Ice Flyer chairlift. Unfortunately, in our scenario the weather was not as it was planned and so we just took the cable car to the first stop on Mt. Titlis, which was still a lot of fun, but clearly not as exciting as the actual trip that was planned. We then reached Interlaken. Due to the large distances we had to cover, most of our time was spent on the coach, but luckily for us, we had a wonderful tour guide who took this to his advantage, he was very knowledgeable about the route he was taking us on, and he explained every detail about the history of any place we stopped at or anything we may have been interested in. Over the 5 days, there were around 50 people, so he tried to make the atmosphere as comfortable and homely as possible, in which he succeeded. We then went to the ‘Jardin Anglais’, in Geneva and walked near the famous Jet d’eau before heading towards United Nations of Geneva to end the day.

The next day, was our travel to Paris and when we took our one hour cruise along the River Seine which highlighted many wonderful landmarks.. We then also had the option of an ‘Illumination Tour’ of Paris in the evening where we boarded the coach again and had very small photo shops in front of the magnificently lit, Arc de Triomphe, Concorde and Invalides, Grand Palais, Petite Palais and of course the sparkling Eiffel Tower.

On the final day, we made the ascend to Level 2 of the Eiffel Tower before making our long journey back to where we started but with a lot more precious memories.

Overall, I would definitely recommend Star Tours, for a hassle-free journey that the whole family can enjoy because of the wonderful experience I had. If you don’t mind following their timings and having a very quick overview of your travels then Star Tours is the perfect place to go, and they have many different travel packages, that may vary to your own needs.
