INCLUDE; Teenagers recently started to create massive platforms on there socials such as tiktok where they get sponsored and advertise different brands such as clothes etc where the teenager start to receive income slowly and slowly as well as adults who make a living of there socials which means being on there devices 24/7 checking on different brand deals being received and other important factors.
THERE HAVE BEEN DIFFERENT WAYS TO REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF TIME U SPEND ON DEVICES E.G; -Put your phone on DND and turn off all notifications to reduce checking different apps all the time.
-When its time to sleep make sure your phone is in a different room as they say “out of mind out of sight”.
-You can also set the number of hours you aim to spend on your device to limit your usage.
From results it also seems to be accurate that being on ur devices isolates you from the reality of the real world and can also lead unhappiness and in some cases depressions as well.
THAT’S WHY I BELIEVE BEING ON UR DEVICES IS GOOD SOMETIMES BUT EVERYTHING HAS A LIMIT.

I TOOK MYSELF ON THE STREETS OF ACTON AND INTERVIWED MEMBERS OF PUBLIC. This is some of the feedback we gained; Many young people mainly in there teenage years stated that “easy way to socialise” and a “new way to make friends who live further” as u can see many young people prefer to sit and home and text rather than go out and with friends to do activities.
From the questions I asked the most common apps to be used by teenagers were snapchat , tiktok. Insta.
CATY BERK AGED 17- STATED THAT USING HER DEVICES CONSTANTLEY HAS CAUSED A DRAMATIC DISRUPTION IN HER SLEEP PSTTERN AND SHE HAS BEEN GETTING LITTLE TO NO SLEEP BECAUSE SHE WOUL SATY AWAKE ON HER PHONE EITHER ON CALL OR WATCHING A MOVIE.
WELL I BET MANY OF YOU COULD RELATE!
THE DATA WE RECEIVED FROM UNDER 18 WAS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FROM THE DATA WE RECEIVED FROM OVER 18+ THESE WERE OUR RESLUTS 22% over 18 claimed that they still are addicted to there devices and it has become a norm since many suggested that there works e.g office duty involved them sitting at home or in the works spaces on there computers plus the time they spend off work and on their phones or on tv.
WHILE THE OLDER GENERATION ARGUED SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT; They argued that they prefer to stay off technology and go for a nice meal with family and friends and just to spend quality time with them this contrasts to the younger generation.
The older people who some were now retired enjoy being outdoors esp ecially if it is a nice weather and also stated by Thomas greyarp “I’ve seen an improvement of devices especially since covid past where I spent a dramatic time online keeping in contact with family and friends in lockdown.
