Let's talk about one of the coolest festivals out there- Navratri!

Celebrated by all Hindus worldwide, a festival that brings family, friends and communities together through rituals and dances!

It's a nine-night celebration of the goddess Durga, and it's all about dance, music and good vibes, celebrating the victory of good over evil. And the best part? Garba! This awesome dance brings everyone together, and it's a total blast!

What's Navratri All About?

Navratri means "nine nights", and it's a time to celebrate the power of femininity. This year, the festival was celebrated from 3 Oct – 12 Oct. On these days, we remember the battles of goddess Durga against evil.

Garba is a type of dance, where everyone joins in a circle, clapping and dancing, with vibrant chaniya cholis for girls and colourful kurtas for guys!

One of the advantages of Garba is how it brings people together, whether you're 5 or 85, everyone gets to join in, it's amazing to see how this dance has spread worldwide, connecting people from different cultures!

These days, Garba is mixed with different music styles and even fusion dances, you can see epic Garba parties happening everywhere, even in places far from India!

Each night, families come together to do rituals and play garba with other families and community!

This year, I celebrated one night doing Garba with my family and friends, and it was an incredible experience!

The energy in the air was electric as we moved to the rhythm of the music, surrounded by colourful lights and vibrant outfits.

I had a fantastic time dancing Garba with my friends, sharing laughter and making joyful memories together.

The atmosphere was filled with traditional songs, and the sense of community made it even more special.

I truly enjoyed every moment, and I can’t wait to do it again next year!

Overall, whether you're dancing in your local community or just vibing with friends, Navratri is a celebration of life, culture, and togetherness. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone! It's a time to let loose, have fun, and connect with your roots!
