On the 6th November, the annual Bonfire & Fireworks Night will be held at the Scouts hut grounds in Earlswood.

This group community social is one of the popular events and a fantastic opportunity for all the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers (and their families) to socialise and spend time with each other.

The evening includes a visual treat of some amazing fireworks, with welcoming warm hot soup and hotdogs that add an extra warmth and welcome to the friendly atmosphere.

This annual event has been running for over 20 years, which reflects the success of the Bonfire & Fireworks Night. The leaders put huge amounts of unseen effort and planning behind the scenes to ensure the night runs smoothly and is enjoyable for all.

The Explorer Scouts also play a significant role in helping and supporting the Bonfire & Fireworks Night. A day before (5th November), the Explorer Scouts volunteer their time to help build the main bonfire. Additionally, some collect money and donations at the door, prepare the food & beverages, maintain the bonfire and stewarding.

Established in 1907, Scouts have been running for over 100 years. Special group community socials like this are looked forward to and essential in bringing the unit together as a community.

Care, belief and co-operation are some of the main scouting values, and this Bonfire & Fireworks Night social event is a great display of these values. Scouting is a community where they support, help, and spend time with one another, and all come together regardless of their differences.
