Located in central London near Old Street Station, Seoul90 is a small local restaurant offering a new twist from the taste of traditional Korean cuisine.
This family owned Korean restaurant, which opened in 2020, has a selection of many dishes which is a must try.
The founder of the restaurant said “Our foods are handmade, from all the sauces, cutting the meat and even the ingredient preparations.”
When you enter, guests are met with the unique interior decorations such as the character wall arts.
After the eye catching decor the kind staff guides you to one of the tables with the menu.
My personal favourite dish was the “Korean Fried Chicken” (KFC) which was very crispy with the homemade Korean traditional sweet and spicy sauce covered outside.
The spices and flavouring for the food was distinctive which gave it a special flavour, different from the ones i’ve had before.
There were 7 large pieces of fried chicken evenly coated.
I would also like to mention the Chef's Special “Bulgogi Tofu Steak” (B.T.S) which is a grilled tofu, vegetarian and vegan menu, with the most perfect homemade soy sauce.
There were nicely marinated grilled vegetables which came with the dish, balancing the flavour of the soy sauce on the tofu and rice.
Prices are reasonable (around £20 per person) considering the location is central London, as well as the quality homemade sauces and presentation of the dishes.
Seoul90 is a perfect safe option for a meal in the area of Islington in London.
With just a 5-10 minutes walk from the Old Street Station or Barbican centre, you can feast on the flavourful Korean dishes.
Overall, this restaurant is perfect if you want to try something new from the ordinary traditional Korean dishes but also don’t want to be disappointed!
