Located in Wandsworth, 'Your Creative Space' is a welcoming and pleasant art studio where you can connect with loved ones and create wonderful pieces of artwork.
The building is distinguished by its unique vibrant blue colour, the exterior already creating an inviting atmosphere.
They offer a range of creative activities such as pottery painting, adult clay sculpting and a variety of workshops partnering with local artists.
The place has a pleasant atmosphere with friendly and engaging staff, explaining how to start your activity.
The table was prepared with many paint brushes, paint palettes and water pots.
The staff recommended taking a look at their Instagram page (yourcreativespacew18) for inspiration on what to paint.
The studio was beautifully set up and simply taking a look around the room provided a lot of inspiration for what to paint; vibrant mugs and plates with intricate designs were neatly displayed on the shelves.
I chose to do pottery painting and I was led to shelves filled with an assortment of mugs, plates, bowls and vases all in large and small sizes.
There were numerous options to choose from but in the end I chose a bowl to paint and I chose five paint colours out of the twenty four that were offered.
The selection of paints consisted of almost all of the colours you could think of and there were even some of the same colours in different shades.
I painted pink flowers around my bowl and painted a light pink interior.
The session had to be booked and there was a £5 deposit per person.
The prices varied depending on which item was to be painted, but the bowl cost the reasonable price of £15 to paint.
The session was one hour and a half which was plenty of time to decide what to paint, pick out paint colours and paint.
At the end of the session, the bowl I had painted was yet to be complete and I couldn't take it home with me until it was placed in the kiln.
I was told they would notify me by email when my finished bowl was ready for collection which would be in about 10 days.
I would highly recommend 'Your Creative Space' to anyone who enjoys art, or if you are interested in trying something new and exciting with friends and family.
The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, creating an enjoyable and inviting space.
The atmosphere was wonderful and it was a very calming and expressive experience; I would love to go again.
It is truly a creative space.
