Rio Ferdinand has "made the year" of a Beckenham café owner after he popped in for a breakfast fry up.
The football pundit visited Mega Café in Elmers End Road on September 8.
He ordered a full English breakfast and black tea, and happily took selfies with staff members and customers during his half-hour-stay.
Café owner, Deniz Macit, 44, told the News Shopper how grateful he is of Rio's support - especially after the pandemic.
He said: "I'm very grateful for support from Rio after a hard year for the high street.
"Visiting a small high street business makes a massive difference.
"Rio complimented my food which made my year."
The former Manchester United defender told Denniz he would be back, and that the cafe was exactly what he had expected.
Deniz added: "Rio said the food and the atmosphere were both as good as he had heard."
Deniz posted his selfie with Rio on Facebook and wrote: "A footballing legend is in town, having breakfast at the mega café on Elmer's End road.
"Beckenham attracts all the stars."
One Facebook user said: "Love Rio he’s such a good man!!"
While another added: "Awh love Rio. Supporting our local economy, hero!"
